Terms of Service

1. General provisions

These terms govern your use of the dating and community website saitas.net (the "Platform"). By starting registration or clicking "I agree" you accept these terms. If you do not agree — do not register and do not use the Platform.

The separate Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy form an integral part of these terms.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You must have legal capacity to enter into contracts.
• You must not be on any prohibited-persons list (sanctions, child-abuse registries, etc.).
• You may not use the Platform if you were previously banned for a rules violation.

3. Account and security

• Provide truthful information (gender, date of birth, display name). Deliberately false data is a violation.
• Your password is your responsibility. Don't share it. Report compromise to [email protected].
• One person — one account. Multi-accounting (multiple accounts for the same physical person) is prohibited.
• You may not sell, transfer or rent your account to anyone else.

4. Acceptable use

By using the Platform you agree NOT to:

• send spam, mass messages, advertising to other users;
• defraud others to obtain money or other material gain (romance scam);
• impersonate another person, celebrity, or organisation;
• upload child abuse imagery, violent, gory or deliberately shocking content;
• upload other people's photos without their consent;
• stalk, threaten, intimidate, demean other users;
• spread hate based on race, religion, gender, orientation;
• sell drugs, weapons, other illegal goods;
• solicit or offer sexual services for payment;
• attempt to hack, perform DoS attacks, crawl pages with bots;
• scrape other users' data;
• use automated like / message tooling.

5. Your content and intellectual property

All content you upload (photos, profile text, messages, questions) remains your property. By uploading it, however, you grant Saitas.net a royalty-free, non-exclusive, transferable sub-licence to display, host, copy (for CDN purposes) and process it on the Platform for as long as it stays there. The sub-licence terminates when the content is removed.

The Saitas.net name, logo, design, source code and illustrations are our intellectual property. You may not use them without written permission.

6. Karma and VIP features

Saitas.net features karma and VIP status. Currently both are granted for activity on the Platform (no paid service). If we introduce paid services in the future, separate payment terms will be presented before purchase.

7. Moderation and account termination

We reserve the right, without prior notice, to:

• remove photos / messages / questions that violate the rules;
• temporarily or permanently ban an account;
• delete an account for serious violations (child exploitation, scam, violence);
• share information with law enforcement when required by law or in case of risk to life.

You may delete your account at any time in profile settings. After deletion the account is queued for admin review; within 30 days it is permanently erased along with all related data (see Privacy Policy, §4).

8. Limitation of liability

Saitas.net is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for:

• conduct of other users, information they provide, content of their messages;
• people you meet in real life — you assess the risk and safety yourself;
• temporary service disruptions, lost messages due to force majeure;
• indirect damage (lost revenue, emotional distress), except where mandatory Lithuanian law requires otherwise.

Our direct liability is in any event capped at EUR 100 per year.

9. Safety when meeting in person

Saitas.net does not verify user identity. When meeting someone from the Platform in person we recommend:

• Meet in a public place;
• Tell a friend / family member where you're going and when you'll be back;
• Avoid alcohol until you know each other better;
• Never exchange money / bank details (romance scam!);
• If something feels off — report via the flag icon on the profile.

10. Email and notifications

By registering you agree to receive these emails from us:

• Transactional — password reset, newsletter confirmation, birthday greetings. Cannot opt out — required for the service.
• Marketing — new-member digest, "we miss you" reminders, news. One-click unsubscribe in every email or via profile settings.

11. Changes to these terms

We reserve the right to change these terms. Material changes will be announced on the Platform or by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the new version. If you disagree — you may delete your account.

12. Governing law and dispute resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania. Disputes unresolved by negotiation ([email protected]) are settled by the competent courts of Lithuania.

Consumers may use the EU Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
