Cookie Policy
Version 1.0 · effective from 2026-05-11
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file your browser stores on your device so the website can remember, for example, that you are logged in or have chosen a particular language. Cookies are either session cookies (deleted when you close the browser) or persistent cookies (kept for a specified period).
2. Which cookies we use
Saitas.net uses only strictly necessary cookies. We do not set any analytics, marketing or third-party tracking cookies. Therefore no consent banner is required under the e-Privacy Directive — every cookie listed below falls in the strictly necessary category.
| Cookie name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
PHPSESSID |
Session identifier — recognises you as a logged-in user, supports CSRF protection, stores language preference | Session (until logout / browser close) | Strictly necessary |
REMEMBERME |
Set only if you tick "Remember me" — allows automatic login on return visits | 10 years (max) | Strictly necessary |
mercureAuthorization |
JWT token for real-time notifications (message alerts via Server-Sent Events) | Session | Strictly necessary |
3. What we do NOT use
- Google Analytics or any other analytics — we don't use it
- Facebook Pixel, Meta Ads trackers — we don't use them
- Advertising cookies — none (the site shows no ads)
- Google Fonts — used until 2026-05-11; fonts are now self-hosted (Schrems II compliance)
- Third-party embedded content (YouTube, Vimeo, FB widgets) — none
4. How to control cookies
You can delete / block cookies at any time in your browser settings. Note however: because all our cookies are strictly necessary, disabling them means you will not be able to log in, real-time message notifications will stop, and your language preference will not persist. The Platform will not function.

5. Local Storage, IndexedDB, Service Worker
Your browser may also store:
- Service Worker — caches static content (CSS, fonts, icons) for faster loads and offline use (PWA). No personal data.
- Local Storage — may keep filter selections, theme (light / dark) choice. No personal identifier.
These mechanisms live entirely on your device and are not sent to our server.
6. Changes to this policy
Changes will be announced on the Platform or by email. If we ever start using analytics or marketing cookies, we will request explicit consent via a consent banner first.
